HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

As February is the month of my birth, I thought I would take this opportunity to celebrate by spreading the wealth. I love giving gifts, especially book gifts; but I also enjoy getting rid of old books to make room for new books!
This edition of Clean My Shelf is going to be different. I am going to fill a box with the same number of days this month. I thought about doing my age, but that would mean I would have to admit it, out loud, to people. So...no go. A book for each day of this month is more than enough.
Before you get too excited, there is a catch. You won't know exactly what book is going in the box. I will provide a hint a day for each book on my Facebook page but that's it. To enter, all you have to do is be a follower--email, GFC, Networked blogs, etc.--of my blog (and, yes, I will be checking) and follow the Rafflecopter instructions. Not hard, right? :)
On my birthday, February 27, I will announce a winner and show a picture of the box. All books will be final copies. Unfortunately, this prize is open to US/Canada residents only. The price to ship 28 (plus a few extras!) internationally would totally ruin my birthday.
However, not to exclude my international readers, I'm allowing for a substitution. If an international follower is chosen, I will substitute a $50 gift card to the book retailer of their choice (as long as it's something available in mine and your country) in lieu of the book box.
I will then keep the box and break up the books for a March Clean My Shelf giveaway. I know this would be disappointing but it something to look forward to for next month.
Happy birthday month! Thanks so much for celebrating it with us :)
ReplyDeleteAs for a book that I hope is in the box, I would be happy with about any paranormal, but I have been wanting to read the Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones.

Thank you for the wishes! I can guarantee you there are some paranormal and urban fiction in the box. Those are my genres of choice. ;)
DeleteThere are so many books I would love to read, but maybe Lord's Fall by Thea Harrison.

Thea Harrison is an amazing author! Unfortunately, she has a permanent home on my Keeper Shelf; if there is a copy in the box, it will be a big surprise...
DeleteI wish you a wonderful birthday month full of happy moments and great books. I love giving and receiving books and you never know which character will become your new favorite! It would be a lovely to see a book by Lisa Kleypas or Susan ELizabeth Phillips.

Thanks for the wishes! I believe February to be one of the happiest months (and not because it is the month of love). Kleypas and SEP are two of my favorite authors! And who knows, there may be a book in there with their name on it.
DeleteWell I'm international, but I would be really hoping that some contemporary romances are in there because I've been wanting to read more of them.
ReplyDeleteAnd I follow by GFC as JessS.

Paranormals will abound! Most assuredly.
DeleteI like any contemporary romances, but I don't like paranormal or any of that kind of stuff. Other than that, I'm not too picky.
